Residents must save the runaway train that is Arizona.  This is a link to a thoughtful commentary in today’s Arizona Republic.  The article touches on some very important issues and best of all, while it is a commentary it is based on the objective facts on the ground here in Arizona.

Tom Horne: Tucson Unified School District runs afoul of ethnic studies law

Based on the information in the article linked below it looks like Attorney General Tom Horne has decided to make the TUSD ethnic studies program his personal wedge issue.  It seems odd that the incoming attorney general would decide to: 1) make an older and presumably settled issue the first major initiative during his term and 2) that it doesn’t appear that he has coordinated his efforts with the incoming State Superintendent of Schools, Mr. Huppenthal.  Mr. Horne obviously has a history of fighting this fight with TUSD but the people of Arizona deserve an attorney general who doesn’t suffer from myopia. There are certainly bigger fish to fry in this State, as well as fish that aren’t already in another elected official’s frying pan.
